Cebu Pacific reports growth in Korea, Japan passengers
Cebu Pacific said its passengers to Korea and Japan increased in the first half of 2010 compared to the same period in 2009.
Passengers to Korea grew by 10 percent while passengers to Japan increased by 56 percent, based on year-on-year growth figures from January-June 2009 and 2010.
“We will continue to offer Cebu Pacific’s trademark low fares to encourage even more to visit the Philippines and other international destinations,” Candice Iyog, vice president for marketing and distribution, said.
The airline offered a Korea and Japan seat sale from August 12 to 14 or until seats last, for travel from Oct. 1 to Nov. 30, 2010.
Manila-Osaka seats went on sale for the “Go” fare of P3,999, while Manila-Seoul (Incheon), Cebu-Seoul and Cebu-Busan seats, for the “Go Lite” seat sale fare of P2,899.
For check-in luggage, an additional P100 will be charged to “Go Lite” fares upon booking.
Cebu Pacific flies from Manila and Cebu to Seoul (Incheon) daily, and from Cebu to Busan twice weekly.
The airline also flies from Manila to Osaka thrice weekly. It plans to make its Manila-Seoul (Incheon) flights twice daily in January 2011, after the expected delivery of more brand-new Airbus A320 aircraft in the last quarter of 2010.*
