WVCST, DOLE to turn over starter kits to 58 beneficiaries
Fifty-eight beneficiaries who availed of livelihood trainings from the Western Visayas College of Science and Technology will receive starter kits from the Department of Labor and Employment next week.
Dr. Nemia Mabaquiao, director of the WVCST Extension Services, said the starter kits will complement the trainings that were provided by their schools composed of manicure, pedicure and hair dressing, welding, automotive, refrigeration and air conditioning, electronics and furniture making, among others.
Each kit, worth around P10,000, will assist the recipients in starting their own livelihood projects.
Mabaquiao said the DOLE will also turn over starter kits to the Professional Electronics Institute Inc. and the Technical Institute of Iloilo City.*PNA
