Drug suspect found with shabu
ROXAS CITY – A suspected drug pusher whose residence was raided by policemen yesterday morning was found with sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia.
The suspect was identified as Antonio Eduardo, also known as Tony Balila, 60, of Corner Bangbang-San Roque Sts., Brgy. Inzo Arnaldo here.
The raiding team led by Senior Supt. Khasmir Desomangcop, city police chief, entered Eduardo’s house bearing a search warrant issued by Executive Judge Edward Contreras on Sept. 1, 2010.
Recovered from the suspect were two sachets of suspected shabu, three aluminum foils, cellular phone, and more than P2,000 cash, among others.
Senior Police Officer 1 Orly Baril said the suspect was under surveillance for several days before their team applied for a search warrant.
The suspect denied that the items recovered inside his house belong to him.
He said he is innocent and that another person might left the suspected shabu under his bed where it was found by policemen.
The suspect is now detained at the lock-up cell of Roxas City Police Station.*
