RPMC 6 elects private sector reps
The Regional Project Monitoring Committee of the Regional Development Council 6 elected its private sector representatives during its reorganizational meeting on September 3 at the National Economic and Development Authority 6 Office in Iloilo City.
Elected as RDC-PSR member in the RPMC was Emmanuel Areño of the Iloilo Code of NGOs.
Three were nominated for the two non-RDC-PSR slots–Andres Tionko of the Panay Rural Development Center Inc.; Frank Carbon of Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Ana Eva Villanueva of Guimaras People’s Economic Council.
The incoming RDC 6 chairperson will choose who among the three will sit in the RPMC.
The RPMC is a special committee under the RDC tasked to coordinate the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of major programs and projects of the region, especially those funded by the national government and official development assistance.
It is chaired by the NEDA regional director, along with the Department of Budget and Management regional director as co-chair.
The Project Monitoring and Evaluation Division of the NEDA 6 serves as the secretariat of the RPMC.*
