Teen killed in road mishap
A 17-year-old boy was killed after he was hit by a speeding tricycle Tuesday evening in Brgy. Tabunacan, Miag-ao, Iloilo.
Dex Fullon, a senior high school student, was on his way home with friends when the accident happened.
As the group were walking along the national highway, the tricycle, which overtook another tricycle, ran into him. The driver however just sped away.
Fullon’s friends brought him to a hospital in Guimbal town where he was declared dead.
The police later arrested John Ardonia, believed to be the tricycle driver who was under the influence of liquor when the accident happened.
In Leganes, Iloilo, two persons were hurt after their motorcycle bumped into a ten-wheeler truck Tuesday afternoon at the crossing of barangays Lapayon and San Vicente.
Police identified the victims as Joy Ann Pomperada, 21, of Oton, Iloilo and Abe Jun Somero of Leganes town.
After the incident, truck driver Ricardo Cabar of Iloilo Builders Corp. surrendered to the police.*
