‘Pahigbuk’ caps Tourism Week
ROXAS CITY – A sundown street jamming performances last September 30 at the Provincial Capitol grounds capped the Provincial Tourism Week celebration with the theme “Tourism and Biodiversity.”
The closing entertainment dubbed “Pahigbuk” was participated in Tanque National High School Music Ensemble and Iloilo-based Tribu ni Mally.
A program kicked off the jamming sessions spiced up by a dance showdown of a local dance group and a live band show.
The week-long celebration commenced with a convention of Hotel and Restaurant Management and Tourism students and teachers, opening of WOW Capiz Photo Exhibit and induction of the new set of officers of the Organization of Tourism Officers of Capiz last September 24.
Capiz Gov. Victor Tanco Sr. has thanked the local government units and various sectors for their support and cooperation to the various activities of the celebration.
The Capiz Provincial Board designated the last week of September as Provincial Tourism Week to develop tourism awareness among Capiceños and to boost the local tourism industry.*PIA
