Francisco takes over as SK Federation head
ROXAS CITY – Charmaine Francisco, Sangguniang Kabataan president of Panitan town, will assume as ex-officio board member of Capiz to replace SK Federation president Bettina Bayot who has resigned from her post.
Francisco, who is Bayot’s vice president, will sit for only a month and a half as the term of barangay and SK officials will end on November 30.
In Panitan, she will be succeeded by SK vice president Jomer Dayalo.
Francisco, 19, is a senior nursing student of Filamer Christian University.
Section 1, Article 16 – on succession and filling up of vacancies – in the SK Constitution and By-Laws states that in case the president of the federation voluntarily resigns, the vice president shall automatically assume the office for the unexpired portion of the term, and discharge the power and duties and enjoy the rights and privileges appurtenant to the office.
Last week, Bayot delivered a privilege speech announcing her departure. She thanked all officials who supported her quest to become the SK Federation president of Capiz.
Bayot said she will join her family abroad.*
