CEH bowlers bag championship in regional tournament
ROXAS CITY – The Capiz Emmanuel Hospital bowling team bagged the championship crown in the Panay Federation of Family Welfare Committees bowling tournament organized by the Department of Labor and Employment 6 at St. Elizabeth Bowling Center in Iloilo City on October 30.
CEH Hospital Administrator Jessie Contreras said their team had 14 players in the 12th Inter-Company Bowling Tournament.
Other teams were from Savior Hospital, Iloilo Mission Hospital, St. Paul’s Hospital, Panay Electric Company, Iloilo Electric Cooperative I, Coca-Cola, Pepsi Cola, John B. Lacson Training Center, Panay Power Corp., and Central Philippine University.
The CEH players garnered 1,909 points to win the championship, followed by Iloilo Mission Hospital, first runner-up; PECO, second runner-up; and ILECO I, third runner-up.
DOLE 6 conducts the yearly tournament among private companies to promote the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among these firms.
Contreras said CEH was the only private company in Roxas City that participated in the bowling tournament. It won the championship for the first time this year after nine years of participation.
The CEH bowling team is composed of Danny Cortel, Arnold Calanza, Nonoy Hoo, Leo Eusalan, Vincent Juson, Ronnie Hamig, Romeo Barrios, Kim Enoslay, Rogelio Canelaso, Cholyn Dampog, Renelee Tabay, Roumelia Beluso, Ella Bermudez, and Stephanie Darnalia, who got the highest points in single female category.*
