Spooky!
To celebrate Halloween, Robinsons Place Iloilo held a costume contest at its fountain area last October 21. There were two categories – fantasy and scary. The costumes were judged according to their relevance to the theme, innovativeness and resourcefulness of materials and overall impact. The judges were this writer and fashion designers Djhon Clement and Jor-el Espina.
FANTASY. The first prize went to contestant number 4, a tree creature. The second prize went to contestant number 2, a fantasy world warrior in white. The third prize went to contestant number 20, a mermaid. They received cash prizes amounting to P3,000; P2,000 and P1,000 respectively.
SCARY. The first prize went to contestant number 17 who was dressed in a sack material and who carried a casket. The second prize went to contestant number 15, a kid dressed in black who was busy stabbing a doll with her knife. The third prize went to contestant number 18, a female ghost seated on her web-filled throne. They received cash prizes amounting to P3,000; P2,000 and P1,000 respectively.
Robinsons Place Iloilo holds a Halloween Costume Contest every year.
