Capiz LGUs, health units recognized by DOH 6
Several local government units and health institutions in Capiz were among those given citations and awards by the Department of Health 6 for their support and commitment to the government’s health programs and projects.
“This is our way of showing our gratitude to these stakeholders who through the years had been supporting us in our different efforts, advocacies and delivering services to the people,” Health Regional Director Ariel Valencia said.
Both Roxas City and Capiz provinces are among the “Top Performers of the Rabies Control Program” in the component cities and province categories, respectively.
The towns of Pres. Roxas and Tapaz are also among the “Best Performing Municipalities in Dog Vaccination.”
Capiz province was also awarded for having the “Most Functional Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit.”
Another award for “Exemplary Performance in Newborns Screening” was given to Capiz province, along with Capiz Emmanuel Hospital and St. Anthony College Hospital for the hospitals category.
The same award in the City/Rural Health Units category went to Roxas City Health Office, Capagao Barangay Health Station, Pres. Roxas RHU, Cuartero RHU, Najus-an Barangay Health Center and Dumalag RHU.*with reports from PIA 6
