Teenage girl raped, robbed
ROXAS CITY – A 16-year-old daughter of a sari-sari store owner was raped and robbed by two suspects Tuesday night in their house in Brgy. Mahunud-hunud, Cuartero, Capiz.
The victim told the police she was sleeping together with her younger sister when the two suspects entered their house.
She said the suspects were wearing bonnets and introduced themselves as members of the New People’s Army.
Although the suspects were wearing bonnets, the victim was still able to identify them as Rio Isidro and Arman Danuya.
The victim, niece of one of the suspects, said that Isidro raped her while Danuya carted away their family’s P5,000 collection money.
Isidro, who was arrested by policemen, is now detained at the Cuartero Police Station while Danuya remains at-large.
Isidro, however, denied the accusation.
The case for robbery and rape against the suspects was filed yesterday before the court, police said.*
