PIA cites top performing advocates
ROXAS CITY – Top performers in the government’s information work were recognized by the Philippine Information Agency in Capiz in rites held yesterday.
Six Public Information Officers who are members of the Capiz Association of Government Public Information Officers (CAGPIO) were honored during the PIA-initiated year-end conference and awards.
Capiz Provincial Press Bureau Chief Edward Basilonia, PO3 Donna Asmod of the Capiz Police Provincial Office, Mary Jane Amigo of the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. Capiz Service Office, Carlette Pretta of the Department of Agrarian Reform, and Jeoffry Espiritu of the Provincial Health Office are this year’s Outstanding Information Officers in Capiz.
The first three were recently conferred by the PIA Director General Lawyer Jose Fabia and Regional Director Ma. Janet C. Mesa as among the 2010 Best Performing Information Officers in Western Visayas.
The head of office of the outstanding information officers were also recognized.
The year-end conference is an annual activity of Capiz Information Center for the CAGPIO members to assess the advocacy activities of the various national government and local government units, and to strengthen camaraderie and partnership among its members.
During the activity, a lecture on Personality Development and Healthy Lifestyle was given by Dr. Cesar Yap Jr.*
