City hiring fairs found 11,000 jobs for Ilonggos
About 11,400 jobseekers in Iloilo were employed this year through various job fairs conducted by the City Public Employment Service Office.
Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog said the year 2010 has been very good because of the many work opportunities for Ilonggos.
“A lot of private companies hired jobseekers that flock to our job fairs, giving them stable jobs and salaries, and the chance to work abroad,” Mabilog said.
He assured the Ilonggos of the City Government’s support to all initiatives that will promote employment generation.
Mabilog said one of his administration’s priorities is to provide jobs for every Ilonggo and to further activities that will create opportunities for work, either local or abroad.*
