ILECO II sources power from EDC’s Green Core
The Iloilo Electric Cooperative II recently signed a 10-year power supply agreement with Green Core Geothermal Inc., a subsidiary of geothermal leader Energy Development Corp.
Based on the contract, GCGI will supply ILECO II with 2 megawatts from its geothermal power plants in Negros Oriental from Dec. 26, 2010 to Dec. 25, 2020.
ILECO II serves the towns of New Lucena, Zarraga, Badiangan, Bingawan, Calinog, Janiuay, Lambunao, Mina, Pototan, Barotac Nuevo, Dingle, Dueñas, Dumangas and San Enrique, and Passi City.*
