Guv answers graft raps, tells Ombudsman, 'I did no wrong'

Iloilo Governor Niel Tupas came out to beat the deadline set by the Office of the Ombudsman in the Visayas.  This was in line with the earlier criminal and administrative complaints lodged before said anti-graft body that had him and two other Capitol executives named as respondents.

A transport terminal in Tagbak, Jaro appears deserted late in the morning Monday as some provincial jeepneys opted not to go on with their trips due to lack of passengers.

Disunited transport groups fail to cripple City

Being divided really proved disadvantageous on the cause of the transport sector. Again, Monday's strike failed to cripple transportation in the city and province of Iloilo as other groups did not support the protest action called by Pinagkaisang Samahan ng Tsuper and Operators Nationwide (Piston) Panay.
