Eleven policemen from the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) had been issued relief orders by Senior Supt. Norlito Bautista the other day due to poor performance.

City to probe CSWD over bloated calamity report

The Sangguniang Panlungsod will conduct an investigation on the questionable calamity report submitted by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) regarding the number of affected families in the recent flood in the districts of Jaro and La Paz.

Internet stations like the one in this photo were disturbed by reports of government agents conducting raids on unlicensed computer softwares. It turned out however that the reported raids were unauthorized by the Optical Bureau of Investigation.

OMB, NBI warn public against fake agents

The reported raids on unlicensed computer softwares which panicked all computer shops and establishments in Western Visayas early this week turned out to be illegal as such were not sanctioned by the Optical Media Board OMB, nor the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

CSWD chief welcomes probe

City Social Welfare and Development Officer Claire Dignadice yesterday admitted that some of the barangay captains have the tendency to puff up the number of affected families during calamities as she welcomed the move of the city council to probe her office over the alleged bloated calamity report.

Tupas, Capadosa turn down Gonzalez' order for official reply

An official order for specific action from the Department of Justice (DOJ) has been officially turned down by two top Capitol officials.  Reason? It is not the department’s business to demand for an explanation from them and beyond its mandated jurisdiction.  Or so the contention goes by respondent-officials, Governor Niel Tupas and Second District Board Member Cecilia Capadosa.
