Dinagyang photo tilt launched
The Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation Incorporated (IDFI) is sponsoring a photo contest in line with the celebration of the 2006 Dinagyang Festival.
The contest is open to all professional and amateur photographers. They can take shots of an "Ati" or a tribe or any dinagyang participant during the Dinagyang Festival on January 29, 2006.
Entries must be taken with colored films or digital files. Digital enhancements is accepted but not manipulated. Participants with digital entries must submit file on CD (TIFF or JPEG format) on actual size with 72 or higher dpi resolution. Corresponding negative for ordinary prints must accompany all entries.
All entries should be 8" x 10" in colored prints and digital photos without border. Likewise, a piece of paper taped at the back of the entry must contain the following background information of the participant: name, address and phone number. This should be submitted in a sealed brown envelope not later than 5 o' clock in the afternoon of February 3, 2006 at the Iloilo Business Club, 2nd Floor, Amigo Shopping Mall, Iznart Street, Iloilo City; telephone no. 335-0333.
A participant is allowed a maximum of six entries with a registration fee of P100.00 per entry.
Entries will be judged based on visual impact (50%) and technical aspect, creativity and composition of the photo (50%).
Cash prize plus trophy and certificate will be awarded to the three winning entries: P8,000 for the first prize; P5,000 for the 2nd prize; and P3,000 for the 3rd prize. Each of the top ten finalists will also re ceive a certificate.
All winning entries shall become sole and exclusive property of IDFI and may be produced or reprinted for exhibits and may be published for promotional purposes without additional compensation to photographers. Credits shall be given to photographers on all photos exhibited or published.
A photo exhibit featuring all entries is set on February 11, 2006 at Robinsons Place which will be followed by the awarding of winners at 5 o' clock in the afternoon. (PIA)
