Boracay tricycle drivers oppose phase out plan

Some 500 tricycle drivers here fear that they might lose their livelihood after the Land Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) pushed for the phase out of tricycles as primary mode of transportation in Boracay Island.

Some foreigners fake robbery cases for insurance purposes, says cop

Robbery cases involving foreign tourists in this island are not all true. Chief Inspector Jess Mendez, chief of the Boracay Special Tourist Police Office, claimed some of the robbery and theft cases reported by foreigners are purposely made for them to claim insurance.
