DOT director assails Boracay cops for sitting on robbery case

Department of Tourism (DOT) Regional Director Edwin Trompeta chided the Boracay Special Tourist Protection Office (BSTPO) for sitting on the robbery incident which victimized 10 Koreans last February in one of the resorts in Boracay Island.

Bautista denies forging deal with Miaque's group

Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) Director Senior Supt. Norlito Bautista vehemently denied that he entered into an agreement with lawyer Rex Rico, counsel for airport concessionaire Bernie Miaque, not to deploy police personnel in areas that are subject of ejection order by the court.

Two of Iloilo's top officials met anew for yet another round of congressional inquiry. Sharing more than their seats in public office, Wednesday's official meeting reunited Third District Congressman Arthur Defensor and Governor Niel Tupas for a House probe on alleged anomalies in the new Capitol.

A motorized banca loaded with illegal forest products was apprehended by the Philippine National Police of Carles PO2 Joey A. Enojas together wih Carles Bantay Dagat Member Samuel A. Suguano while patrolling along the seashore of Carles, Iloilo at around 5:30 pm recently.
