Fire victims seek medical, food assistance as damage reach P6M

A total of 24 houses were totally damaged while ten were partially burned in Wednesday's fire that hit Barangay Jalandoni, Lapuz in La Paz district. Estimated worth of property loss was placed at P6 million in an incident that remain under investigation by arson probers.

Nava shooting incident a 'wake up call' to capitol's security policy

Iloilo Governor Niel Tupas Sr. has ordered a thorough inspection of visitors as well as provincial government employees going inside the New Iloilo Provincial Capitol building following the shooting incident which occurred at the lobby of his office last Tuesday.

Tupas, through an executive order, instructed the security guards posted on the capitol's entrance to conduct rigid search of individuals and their belongings before allowing them to get inside the building.
