Guimaras execs to plead case vs. Petron

The province of Guimaras will appeal the decision of the Guimaras Provincial Prosecutor's Office junking the criminal complaint against officials of Petron Corp. and the owner of the sunken tanker Solar I.

Water sources in Visayas depleting

Water suppliers in the Visayas are facing supply problems because of the drying up of water sources due to climatic changes.

Melchor Bibanco, president of the Visayas Association of Water Districts, said that most water districts are experiencing supply problems especially during the summer season.

No final slate yet for city opposition group

Only three days are left before the deadline for the filing of certificate of candidacy (COC) for local aspirants, but the opposition group in the city has yet to firm up its slate.

The group which has former Mayor Mansueto Malabor as bet for congressman and former Councilor Joshua Alim as candidate for mayor is still scouting on who will be their candidate for vice mayor as City Councilor Erlinda Liberiaga remains undecided whether to run or not.
