Holding a dog show is important especially those who are into breeding. Each breed has a standard or a description of its ideal specimen in terms of function, general appearance, movement, temperament and physical traits. It is up the judge to determine which dog entry fits the ideal standard. Dogs that fit their breed standards have the tendency to win in the dog shows.
