The Fashion Play
Robinson's Place Iloilo became a big fashion playing field last week when it celebrated its first–ever Iloilo Fashion Festival, everything from the stalwarts of Iloilo fashion to the new kids on the block competing for attention. Both groups were able to deliver wonderful collections.
Also presented on the runway were the works of 14 members of the Young Designers Guild of the Philippines, which drew a lot of curiosity from the fashionable ladies of the city as well as from walk-in shoppers and hangers-on that gathered at the Ground Circle of Robinsons. The by-invitational-only seating arrangement was easily filled up to max before the show begun. Seen seated on the front row were fashionable siblings Pane and Pangging Rosales, culinary queen Pauline Banusing, the two Loring ladies Engel and Bulak, society darling Linda Hoblitzell, beauty and skincare experts Drs. Aileen Montero and Techie Lim-Layson, and glamorous ladies Dr. Pacita Gonzales and Norma Rosales.
The Young Designers Guild of the Philippines members who presented their latest collection were Aries Lagot, Brian Leyva, Ciara Marasigan-Serumgard, Czarina Villa, our very own Eric de los Santos, Ferdie Abuel, Jerome Lorico, John Herrera, Louis Claparols, Mitzilendrino-Bustos, Patricia Helen Eustaquio, Reian Kagahastian, Regine Dulay and Veejay Floresca.
