WV leaders urge release of 'Paglaum' fund now

Western Visayas officials have called on the national government to find and release funds for repair and rehabilitation projects in areas ravaged by last year's typhoon “Frank”, warning of the possibility of another disaster when the rainy season sets in.

Antique's capital town adopts 'No Plastic Day'

SAN JOSE, Antique – Saturday is “No Plastic Day” in this capital town of the province of Antique.

The policy is embodied in a resolution passed by the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) declaring every Saturday of the week as “No Plastic Day” in San Jose Tradetown and in Business Park.
