Conductor robs bus
Police are now hunting for a conductor who robbed a bus owned by his employer and fled off with over P20,000 yesterday morning.
Marlon Enanoria, a native of San Enrique, Negros Occidental, reportedly hitched a ride with Ceres bus with plate number FWM 741 and body number 62036 somewhere in Calinog town, Iloilo province. The bus was bound for this city from Metro Manila.
Upon reaching Brgy. Ungka 1 in Pavia town, Enanoria brought out a short firearm and declared hold up. He divested the bus’ conductor, George Setias, of more or less P20,000; and P4,500 and two cellphones from the two remaining passengers, said SPO1 Roger Patingo, Pavia police chief investigator.
After divesting the conductor and the passengers of their valuables, Enanoria got off the bus and flagged a jeepney for Iloilo City.
Setias said in a radio interview that they were not able to do anything because they were shocked that Enanoria would victimize them.
Patingo said that the operator, Vallacar Transit, told them that Enanoria was an active conductor for one of their buses.
