Comelec to hold public demo of counting machine Oct. 8
The precinct count optical scan (PCOS) of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) will debut here via a public demonstration.
City election assistant Jonathan Sayno said for the first time, Iloilo city residents will see how the automated machine will function and operate in the coming 2010 election.
Comelec information department chief James Jimenez will lead the public demonstration slated Thursday, October 8, at the Division of Iloilo City Schools Social Hall.
Jimenez will show the functions of the PCOS and how to use it.
Along side the public demonstration is a voter’s education campaign related to the electoral process.
“This activity will hopefully end all questions and criticisms regarding the operation of the automated machine,” Sayno said. (PNA)
