UP Visayas sets 31st Commencement Exercises
The University of the Philippines Visayas has set its 31st Commencement Exercises at 4:30 pm on April 27, 2010 at the UPV Miagao campus grounds for its graduates in the Iloilo City and Miagao campuses.
Michael Tan, Ph.D., noted for his column Pinoy Kasi published in the Philippine Daily Inquirer, will give the Commencement Address. Prof. Tan is currently the Chairperson of the Department of Anthropology of UP Diliman. Tan is a medical anthropologist, best known for his work among NGOS. He has authored numerous books and articles focusing on indigenouse medical beliefs, sex and sexuality, reproductive and sexual health (particularly HIV/AIDS), pharmaceuticals, and health policy issues.
The UP Cebu High School will have its Graduation Exercises on April 16, 2010 while the UP High School in Iloilo will have its 31st Graduation Exercises on April 21, 2010, 5:00pm at the Quadrangle of the UPV Iloilo City campus.
On April 26, 2010, UPV has scheduled the following:
PAPURI–8:30 am–UPV Auditorium, Iloilo City campus
(A recognition program in honor of academic and special achievements awardees)
Baccalaureate Exercises–4:30 pm–Quadrangle, Iloilo City campus
Parangal–6:00 pm–UPV Auditorium, Iloilo City campus
(A commencement concert in honor of graduating students)
The Commencement Exercises of UPV Cebu College will be on April 28, 2010 at 4:30 pm at the campus grounds with Commission on Human Rights Chair Leila M. De Lima as Commencement Speaker.
UPV Tacloban College will have its Commencement Exercises on April 29, 2010 at 9:00 am in the campus with UP System President Emerlinda R. Roman as Commencement Speaker. (Lyncen M. Fernandez; UPV-IPO)
