Town vice mayor-elect admits playing lead role in sex video
Without batting an eyelash, a vice-mayor elect in Iloilo town admitted to be playing the lead role in the sex video that has been circulating in the internet, particularly on social networking site Facebook.
Sangguniang Bayan member and vice mayor-elect Cesar Gonzales of Lambunao, Iloilo owned up the man who was seen with a woman while doing some sexual activities.
As if to lessen the damage it created on his person, Gonzales stressed that he did not take the video but the woman who was with him.
It was gathered that the woman involved in the sex scandal is also a resident of Lambunao town.
When asked if he was aware that their act was video recorded, “so far, I was not really conscious about it because actually, we were lovers. I did not think that he will do it (record their love making),” Gonzales told GMA TV-6.
It was gathered that the video first circulated sometime in October 2009, or months before the actual campaign period started.
The sex scandal was allegedly used by his political opponent to assassinate his character before the eyes of the electorate.
But Gonzales noted that it did not affect in his candidacy considering that he won in the elections.
“Daw nagnami pa gid. Ginhimu-an nila ako parehas ka dya. Ginguba nanda ako sa tawo pero ang kumpiyansa tana kang tawo sa akon, sa gihapon,” he said.
While it did good in his campaign, Gonzales admitted that his family was really affected by the issue.
“Natural eh. Ang pamilya ko, nagahambal man sanda nga ‘Ano diya ang nahimo mo?” Pero ang akon tana rason, waay takon ti move para ako mahimo (to spread the video). Lalake man lang kita,” he said.
For Gonzales, it should have been considered as part of his private life.
But since it reached the hands of his political opponents, it was used to sway the people against voting for him.
Despite what happened, the incoming vice mayor claimed that he has no plan of file charges against his former lover or the people who spread the video.
