A town mayor of the Province of Antique made a desperate call for police protection as he made public a supposed liquidation plot aimed at him.

In an interview over Bombo Radyo, the neophyte town mayor further revealed that intelligence information gathered by his camp validated the threats on his life. As such, he officially sent word to Chief Supt. Doroteo Reyes, Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 Director to grant him detailed police security.
To his assailants, Mayor Baladjay appealed for sobriety even as he offered to sit down with them in order for him to know why they want him dead and where he did wrong in his governance.
