Arrest warrant out on Muslim drug suspect
An order for the arrest of a Muslim drug suspect who ranks third in the region's drug watch list is out with no bail recommended.
The Arrest Warrant was issued by Branch 36 6th RTC Judge Victor Gelvezon on the subject, businessman Cairoden Abdullah of Lanao Del Sur in Mindanao.
Adbullah has since established local residence in Leofel Village in Ticud Lapaz, Iloilo City but is believed to have left town following his celebrated arrest by government agents in a previous drug bust operation.
Recovered then by operatives were 11 grams of shabu otherwise known in the drug world as "poor man's cocaine" yet the accused managed to post P200,000 bail to the objection of government agents. It was in December when said bond was canceled then held in abeyance yet latest Court decision ordered anew Abdullah's arrest.
"Considering the Court has already issued an Order to cancel the bailbond posted for the provisional liberty of the accused, let a Warrant be issued for the arrest of the said accused," excerpts of Judge Gelvezon's order dated February 6, 2006 stated.
Abdullah stands as sole respondent in a drug case docketed as Criminal Case No. 05-617 86 and as such may be brought in by authorities with the arrest order out and effective if caught anywhere in the Philippines.
