Cash value for armaments surrendered up 100%
The 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division in sincere efforts to compliment armaments and explosives surrendered by the rebels or their sympathizers has increased the cash value in exchange by 100%.
The increase in cash value is the initiative of 3ID Commander, Maj. Gen. Alphonsus Crucero and in consonance with the General Headquarters Circular No. 8, also known as Bring A Rifle and Improve Livelihood or Balik-BARIL Program.
The program aims to provide cash incentives to rebels or their sympathizers who wish to return to the folds of the law and surrender their firearms. While amnesty be accorded to them and their names be erased from the military's Order of Battle, the cash value will form part of a starting capital for their new life and reintegration to the democratic society.
For example, an M16 Armalite Rifle that has a previous cash value of P18,000 will now be paid by P35,000. The following procedures may be used to guide rebels who wish to turn-in their firearms, ammunitions or explosives; Contact a trusted person that maybe a local official, from the religious sector or your relatives to inform the military about your plan; request a trusted person to arrange with the military for the issuance of "Safe Conduct Pass" which is needed to be presented to the military/PNP in case of apprehension; keep your firearms and other important things or documents to a safe place and ensure easy access to it during the time of surrender; proceed to the pre-arranged venue with your trusted person to meet the military personnel whom you would surrender; you will be assisted by the military to avail of the amnesty of the government and receive the cash value for you to live freely with your family.
Let us stop the WAR and Stop the Killings! Let us GO together for peace and progress.
