Oso hits absentee colleagues
Board Member Domingo Oso, Jr. was disgusted with the non-appearance of his colleagues in yesterday's supposed committee hearing of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee of the Whole, which he chairs, relative to the pending issues up for investigation by the committee.
3 houses razed in Arevalo fire
Iloilo City -- Barely a week after the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) launched Fire Prevention Month, fire occurred in Brgy. San Jose, Arevalo Monday evening which razed three houses. Three other houses were partially burned by the fire that lasted for less than an hour.

City Mayor Jerry Treñas defended the Night Market ordinance even as he assured that it is not anti-poor. He said the ordinance is meant to ensure the safety of customers as well as rid the city of eye sores.
Stealing of electrical wires on the rise
City Mayor Jerry Treñas got irked by the reports that the city's electrical wires connecting the streetlights at Avanceña, Molo was again stolen by unknown thieves. This is the sixth time such thievery of electrical wires happened in the area.
