Molo police tops in arrest of wanted persons
The Molo police precinct (PP 4) tops among the police units in the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) in their drive against against wanted persons. To date, they have arrested 14 persons including two barangay captains in Molo.
Records from the Iloilo City Police Office showed that for the months of January to February 2006, the police precinct 4 led by Senior Insp. Federico Silvestre have arrested 14 persons including Calumpang Barangay Capt. Lolita Maprangala and Brgy. Capt. Victorino Quimsing of West Habog-Habog, Molo.
Maprangala is charged for estafa before Branch 28 while Quimsing is charged for frustrated murder before Branch 34 of the Iloilo Regional Trial Court. They have posted bail for their temporary liberty.
Other wanted persons who were arrested by the police precinct 4 were Eddie Merais, Rorthfield Blanca, Joebel Gabuan, Elmer Leonor, Eric De la Cruz, Arnold Sibonga, Jaime Cajulao, Jose Causing, Jett Ariel Parrenas, Warlito Diaz, Jenny Castro and Ancelito Catalino.
In the campaign against wanted persons, police served all the pending warrants of arrest issued by Iloilo Regional Trial Court to those people who are already charged in court.
Police precinct 2 comes second to police precinct 4 with six arrested persons. It is followed by police precinct 1 with five arrested persons.
The police precincts 3 and 5 ranked fourth with four arrested persons. Iloilo City Mobile Group ranks fifth with two arrested persons. It is followed by police precinct 6 and Iloilo City Mobile Group with one arrested person each.
