Qualified for the interview are those who are currently employed for at least 6 months in an acute care hospital with at least 150 beds, fluent in English, driven to work in the US and not under contract with another agency recruiting for the US amongst others.
During the interview applicants are advised to bring the following: Updated resume with a list of cases handled, procedures performed, and equipment handled; Original and photocopies of college diploma, transcript with RLE, valid PRC license, board certificate and board ratings; and exam results (if any) of CGFNS/NCLEX/IELTS/TOEFL and TSE.
Calantas said aside from the salary the company offers other attractive benefits that include a US $1,500 arrival bonus, fr ee airfare and one-month accommodation in the US shall be provided amongst others.
Though she could not give an exact figure yet of the contracts processed for US bound nurses in the region, Calantas noted that US is one of the top three favorite destinations of Ilonggo nurses. The other two countries are Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and United Kingdom.
"This opportunity indicates the continuing preference of foreign employers for our land based Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) especially for our nurses who have given a big contribution to our country's employment need and continuing economic growth," Calantas said.
