De la Llana assumes as OIC mayor
Vice Mayor Guillermo De La Llana assumed as the OIC mayor of Iloilo City after Mayor Jerry Treñas went to New York, USA for a 12-day trip relative to the case study of the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development.
The study started last May 1 and ends on May 12, 2006. The case study has four major points to discuss. These are the energy for sustainable development, industrial development, climate change and atmosphere and air pollution.

Mr. Ivan Toms, City Health services director of Cape Town, South Africa; Mr. Stephen Kabuye, mayor/ICLEI Vice President of Entebbe, Uganda; Mr. Sanjay Jaju, commissioner of Hyderabad, India, Ms. Marguerite Barenburg of Johannesburg, South Africa; Ms. Petunia Lebogang Pheto of Johannesburg, South Africa; Mr. Tsutomu Uehera, vice mayor of Kyoto, Japan; Mr. Tempei Goto, mayor's secretary of Kyoto, Japan; Mr. Makoto Suganuma, International Cooperation Director of Climate change of Kyot, Japan, Mr. David Cadman, councilor/ICLEI president of Vancouver, BC, Canada; Professor Hamanaka, chiar of the ICLEI Japan office; Kim Lundgren, Northeast Region Director of ICLEI USA office and Tanya Imola, CSD-14 Coordinator of ICLEI World Secretariat will join in the case study.
