SP to discuss admin raps vs Tanza-Esperanza dad
The Sangguniang Panlungsod will tackle today (Wednesday) in its regular session the administrative complaint for grave misconduct and abuse of authority filed against the barangay captain of Brgy. Tanza-Esperanza, City Proper.
The administrative complaint for grave misconduct and abuse of authority was slapped against Barangay Capt. Carlos Orada. The administrative raps stemmed from the complaint of Hazel and Harold Balajadia.
The Balajadias claimed that Orada struck them with a nightstick and threatened them with a gun. The barangay chief allegedly also struck Hazel on the stomach. The incident took place afternoon of April 19,2006 at Barangay Esperanza.
The complainants said they were in the middle of conversation with two other acquaintances when they were allegedly "attacked" by Orada with no apparent reasons. The incident was witnessed by Rodolfo Siojo alias Pani and Antonio Igpuara alias Jombol.
The Balajadia siblings said Orada's act are "are unwarranted, dangerous and prejudicial to the interest of residents of his Barangay." Orada is a former cop and recently figured in a word war against the barangay captain of the nearby barangay relative to their boundaries and the implementation of the curfew hour.
In filing the administrative complaint, the complainants presented medical certificates and police blotter to probe their allegations. The medical examination report disclosed that the complainants sustained hematomas.
It is expected that after the SP took cognizance of the complaint, it will be referred to the committee on barangay affairs chaired by Councilor Marietta Orleans.
