Ex-brgy capt leads Ilonggo convicts off to Munti
A former barangay captain convicted of murder is off to the National Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa with eleven other Ilonggo convicts.
All former detainees of the Iloilo Rehabilitation Center (IRC), Danilo Palomo of Passi City leads the transferees in a 'shipment' that will see anew tightened security. Jail guards who will serve as the group's escorts will be fully armed, a match to their 'cargo' who are all considered dangerous.
Palomo faces reclusion perpetua or a life sentence for the murder conviction.
The other convicts include Jovan Abantao who will serve jail time over a drug charge, Johnny Papilera, Elmer Cartera, DaniloTagolimot, Jimmy Dolete and Felicibar Maquinto. Also up to a "Munti" stint are Val Latoza, Merlino Prado, Arnel Rosael, Alex Gumacal and Jesus Suelo.
And as a matter of precaution and to ensure a smooth transfer of said criminals, IRC Warden Juan Mabugat will send a 13-man IRC team with Provincial Guard (PG) 2 Rene Monares as team leader.
