New PDEA chief vows to run after big time drug dealers in Western Visayas
Newly-installed regional chief of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Senior Supt. Roybel Sanchez vowed to run after high-profile or big time drug dealers in Western Visayas.
He gave the assurance during the turnover ceremony Monday afternoon held at the regional office of the PDEA where Sanchez replaced Senior Supt. Rolen Balquin, who is now waiting for his new assignment.
Sanchez said he would be coordinating closely with the elements of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Sanchez has with him nine members of the PNP who decided to stay after the transition period for PDEA personnel.
The new PDEA regional director hopes to attract 80 more individuals as agents.
