Treñas richest in city gov't with assets worth P31 M
Mayor Jerry Treñas is the richest official of the city government with P31,429,609.11 worth of assets while Human Resource and Development Office chief Thelma Golez has the least worth of assets from among the department heads in the city government.
Included as assets in Treñas's sworn Statement of Assets and Liabilities (SAL) are three residential lands in Jaro, one commercial building in Jaro, a residential land in Molo, a residential house in Molo, one residential land in General Luna, residential land in Mandurriao, rice land property in Miag-ao, another rice land in Anilao and two fishpond lease agreements in Barotac Nuevo. His real property assets amounted to P27,538,684.11.
The filing of the SAL is in accordance with Republic Act 6713. It is mandatory for public officials to declare their assets and liabilities.
As of December 31, 2006, Trenas's personal and other properties which includescash on hand and cash in bank, jewelries, furnitures and fixtures, law books, appliances, a Revo, an X-trail and Nissan Cefiro amounted to P3,890,920. His payable loans amounted to P5,380,024.64.
Among his business interests and financial connections, in which he is listed as a stockholder, are : Salvador G. Sarabia Corporation; RJT Food Enterprise Inc.; R.D. Sarabia Pawnshop; Rosalie S. Treñas Corporation; Iloilo Golf and Country Club; Rural Bank of Pavia; Dynasty Finance Corporation; Perez-Treñas Hermanos Inc.; Potenciano-Estrella Aqua and Soledad Aquaculture.
On the other hand, Golez declared that she has a real property asset of P200,000. This includes a house and lot in Alta Tierra Village. Her furnitures and appliances acquired in various years amounted to P140,000 while her jewelries, clothing and books amounted to P50,000. She has a liabilities of P180,000. The liabilities include a salary loan from the GSIS, MPL loan in Pag-ibig and PPSB salary loan and educational loan.
