PRO 6 launches cable TV program
The top officials of Police Regional Office 6 during
the launching of the T.S.I.P. cable television
program.
Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 made history as it held the first live telecast of Talakayan Sa Isyung Pulis or T.S.I.P. last Saturday, July 21, 2007 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The program is aimed not only to showcase the programs, activities and projects of the PRO 6 but also to entertain complaints against the particular police personnel or unit and receive feedbacks and comments on police operations.
The TSIP is the first TV Program of PRO 6 in cooperation with the Central Philippine University (CPU) Alumni Channel. It has a live telecast every Saturday and a replay on Thursday in the same time slot. The program is divided into three segments: Talakayan, Tatak Pulis and Dalangpan N'yo.
During the launching, PRO 6 Regional Director Chief Supt. Wilfredo V. Dulay, Sr. was the guest interviewee in the Talakayan portion. He discussed the following topics: Peace and order situation in Western Visayas with emphasis on the status of insurgency and his proposed arming of tanods in Iloilo City. Likewise, he clarified several issues on the implementation of Republic Act 9372 or the Human Security Act.
The tree planting activity of PRO 6 was the feature story for the segment "Tatak Pulis". And, for the segment Dalangpan N'yo, Insp. Rudy Aquino, Deputy Chief of Regional Traffic Management Office (RTMO), answered the issue on the alleged non-issuance of receipts to members who availed the services at the said office. He also said that all payments to RTMO services must be deposited thru the Land Bank of the Philippines.
Also present during the launching were Senior Supt. Reynaldo Rafal, Deputy Regional Director for Operations; Senior Supt. Norlito Bautista, Chief Regional Directorial Staff and Chief, Regional Public Information Office; members of the Directorial Staff and National Support Units; and officers of the CPU Student Council.
