Bacolod City bags 'most citizen-friendly' police station in Western Visayas
Bacolod City -- Police Station 6 here topped the search for the 'most citizen-friendly police station' in the region, Bacolod City Police Office Director Senior Supt. Ronilo Quebrar said.
Quebrar said that the station, led by Chief Inspector Noel Mana-ay has been performing well in terms of community relations as well as the nine other police precincts in the city.
The contest is aimed at recognizing the collaborative efforts exerted by policemen to reach or serve the community beyond the bonds of their sworn duties police records showed.
It is also designed to encourage policemen to support one another not only to fulfill the needs of their station but also to be more concerned on the needs of the people to whom they are answerable.
A cash prize of P10,000, P7,000 and P5,000 will be given to the first, second, and third, top winners of the contest.
All members of the Bacolod City Police Office are encouraged to further their collaborative effort for the betterment of the community where they serve.
