Heavy equipment rentals eat much of SB No. 5
The rentals for heavy equipment for the third quarter of 2007 had eaten a bigger portion of the P16.8 million Supplemental Budget Number 5 of the city government. The rentals for heavy equipment amounted P3,643,200.
The equity for the improvement and development of Calajunan Disposal Area for its Phase 2 Transitional Disposal Site ranked second with P2,872,636. The Supplemental Budget Number 5 was approved by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in its regular session last Wednesday.
In the same supplemental budget, P2,401,063 is also alloted to the 20 percent of the city's different development projects such as the drainage system in Barangay San Pedro, Molo; Barangay Sooc, Molo and Barangay Fuentes-Mabini, City Proper. The same allocation also includes the concreting of median island from Barangay San Rafael to Tabucan, Mandurriao.
The other allocations that reached to millions of pesos are for the CESPEDIC which is P1,682,000; Traffic Control Program P1,562,862; fund for day care workers P1,066,800 and programs and projects for Barangay Nutrition Services, Barangay Health Services, Supplemental Feeding Program and Family Planning Service which amounted to P1,059,200.
Bulk of the Supplemental Budget Number 5 was taken from the Transfer Tax of Megaworld which is P9 million; Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) of P2,135,770, community tax P238,561.38; tipping fees P56,237 and tourism fees of P16,600.
