Marvelous flavors of Christmas

The cold and windy mornings, the increased frequency of events to go to, are among the things that we experience when Christmas nears. Another is the increased frequency of eating out for us who oftentimes take our lunch in the office or at home. How can one resist the temptation of a great gastronomic fare presented before you anyway? Just like The Promenade's Marvelous Flavors of Christmas for only P495.
We accepted The Promenade Manager Rey Ponsaran's invitation to experience this feast one Saturday evening. We were not disappointed, as usual.

For the appetizer, we chose among the Gourmet Cheese and Cold Cuts Platter, Assorted Sushi, Seafood Ceviche and Galantine of Chicken. The creamy soup variations were Salmon Bisque and Gingered Tofu & Noodle Soup. Then, there were the Shrimp & Lychee Salad and Salad Nicoise. The main course consisted of Lengua Financierra, Herbed Crusted Chicken, Pork Cordon Bleu, Seafood Meuniere with Cilantro Lemon Whisked Butter Sauce, Marinated Grilled Vegetables and Paella Mariscos.

Of course, Christmas food wasn't missed. We enjoyed some generous servings of Australian Prime Ribs and Classic Christmas Ham.
The buffet table has expanded, in fact. There's the new Pizza and Pasta Station, Fondue Station and Crepe Station. The existing Dessert station added more sweet treats like Christmas Yuletide Log Cake, Rhum Bundt Cake, Fruit Garden Ice Box, Black Forest Mousse Trifle, Sugar-free Peachy Banana Cotta, Mango Bread Pudding, Corn Souffle, Tiramisu and Chocolate Marshmallow Mousse.

Well, that's really a lot to take in in one sitting. But then again, no worries. Marvelous Flavors of Christmas happens every Saturday evening for the month of December.
