Iloilo CHO bares preparations for the opening of classes
The Iloilo City Health Office (CHO) is now busy preparing for the opening of classes this coming June 10.
City health officer, Dr. Urminico Baronda said his office will commence with its fogging operations in various schools in the city starting next week.
"We have coordinated with school principals for them to allow our health workers to speak during their Parents and Teachers Community Association (PTCA) meetings to discuss with them health concerns and the necessary measures on dengue prevention," he said.
Baronda also emphasized that they would be campaigning more on sanitation to avoid another outbreak of typhoid fever in the city’s waterfront barangays.
Likewise, he added that some of the CHO staff will take particular attention of the Jaro district, especially those that were submerged in floodwater during the recent flooding to see to it that they have potable water source.
"These activities will start next week until the opening of classes in June," he said. (PNA)
