San Joaquin hosts Capitol's 2nd out-of town session tomorrow
Today's regular session will be moved tomorrow to the Municipality of San Joaquin, Iloilo. This, as the 9th Iloilo Sanggunian Panlalawigan (SP) agreed to hold its second out-of-town special session in the First District.
Town councilors from other First District towns alongside the vice mayors were also invited to attend. The occasion will be used as opportunity for the SP body to reach out to said town officials coming from the municipalities of Oton, Tigbauan, Tubungan, Giumbal, Igbaras and Miag-ao.
The first out-of-town SP session was held in the Fifth District with the Municipality of Ajuy as host.
Slated at 9:30 a.m., Vice Governor Rolex Suplico and the rest of the board members are expected though to attend an earlier event in San Joaquin.
The Capitol SP visit will coincide with the unveiling of a marker to remember the seven fallen boy scouts who lost their lives in a boy scout jamboree here that turned tragic back in October 2004.
