Blood donation month culminates with blood letting, motorcade
BACOLOD CITY -- The Negros Occidental Provincial Health Office (PHO) in coordination with Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) Blood Bank Center last Friday culminated the Blood Donor's Month with blood letting, motorcade and awarding to frequent blood donors and contributors at the Social Hall of the Capitol Building.
During the event, about 56 units of blood were collected out of the 62 donors that were screened.
While blood letting was conducted, trophies and certificates were distributed to top 10 Blood Galloners of Negros Occidental and top 10 LGU's Highest Contributors of Blood.
Eva C. Chua, retired personnel of the PHO also received a Lifetime Achievement Award for pioneering the Provincial Voluntary Blood Service Program of Negros Occ.
Ronilo Isuga and Roger Anjao, drivers of the PHO and CLMMRH were also given special award for their unselfish and untiring support for the blood program.
The activity with the theme, " Once is Not Enough Donate Blood Regularly" was also participated in by the different cities and municipalities including Bacolod City, Rotary Club of Bacolod, Bantay Bayan Federation Inc.ABS-CBN Bantay Bata 163, Coca Cola Phil., Pepsi Cola, Philippine National Red Cross, Aksyon Radyo, Brotherhood Inc. Lions Club, Life Line and Dal-B and Guardians Center Foundation Inc.
