Phil. Navy plane crash landed in Capiz town
ROXAS CITY – A Philippine Navy aircraft bound for Cavite from Mactan, Cebu crash landed yesterday morning at Brgy. Agojo, some 8 kilometers from the town proper of Panay, Capiz.
Luckily, the aircraft's eight passengers including the pilot were all safe except for one who suffered injuries.
Lt. Commander Lued Lincuna, pilot of the BRI-2A aircraft, said that they were 14 nautical miles, 6,500 latitude of Roxas City when the aircraft's engine experienced trouble prompting him to conduct a bitching procedure for an emergency landing at the nearest airport, however they landed at Brgy. Agojo.
LTJG Rodiar Babera who was wounded at the left part of his head was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital in Roxas City but declared out of danger by the attending physician.
Other passengers who were unharmed after the crash landing were: LTJG Antonio Bosch, co-pilot; Capt. Antonio Indag; LTJG Paul Hechanova; ADC Cris Buctil and ADC Vic Santos, all of the Philippine Navy.
The aircraft crew and passengers returned to their base in Cavite yesterday.
