Midwives Association holds 34thAnnual Convention
The 34thAnnual Convention of the Integrated Midwives Association of the Philippines, Inc. (IMAP) will kick off with a motorcade on October 15, Wednesday, at 1:00 p.m. Dubbed "IMAP, Inc. Rising up to the Global Midwifery Challenges," the convention will run from October 15 to 18 at the Bacolod Pavillon Convention Center.
The event seeks to address the continuous need to strengthen midwifery practice while at the same time supporting the aspiration of the IMAP members through education. IMAP is the only accredited association for midwives by the Professional Regulation Commission. It is also a member of the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM).
Meanwhile, the Bacolod City Gender and Development Council will hold the Children Day on October 17, 2008 from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Bacolod Public Plaza.
Also, the 4thRegional Agri Trade Fair is ongoing at Robinson's Place Bacolod. Featuring organic products from various towns and municipalities, Department of Agriculture-organized event will run until October 18.
