Bago City celebrated Al Cinco de Noviembre last Wednesday in commemoration of the liberation of Negros Occidental from the Spaniards one hundred ten years ago.
Mayor Ramon D. Torres leads the government officials and agencies of government in the celebration with various activities held for the week.
Highlighting the celebration is the holding of Lin-ay sg Bago and the popular "Sigabong sang mga Kanyon" which is the parade of cannons by the different barangays of the city. We witnessed the parade where you could hear the loudest of the loudest cannons custom-built by the craftsmanship skills of the Bagueños.
