Juan Miguel Flores saw that many people needed medical care after typhoon Frank hit Western Visayas. Thus, he initiated a medical mission together with his batchmates at Ateneo de Iloilo.
The mission was held recently at Trapiche, Oton.
Neil Quiachon, a batchmate of Juan Miguel's, said that his classmate used to dream of helping others and also wanted to become a mayor of Oton. Thus, in his own little way, he wished he has gradually fulfilled his aspiration.
Juan Miguel wishes to thank the following: Sr. Fidelis Estrada R.A., Chairperson of Assumption Iloilo for the medicines, Fr. Manuel A. Uy Jr. S.J., School President of Ateneo de Iloilo for the medicines, John Trompeta, Ateneo de Iloilo for the medicines, Department of Health for the regional permit for the medical mission, Mayor Vicente B. Flores Jr. for the mayor's permit for the medical mission, Bobby Mendoza for the medicines, the Trapiche barangay officials, and The News Today for being one of the sponsors of this activity.
